Quite the uproar occurred a few years ago when wildlife officers in Colorado cut off an elk’s antlers to remove a tire that was stuck around its neck for two years. People were puzzled and even angry commenting, ‘Why not just saw the tire?’, as they were not happy the antlers were cut off. Note that elk shed their antlers every year. it turns out, those Sawzalls are awesome, but, it depends on which blade you use and what you’re using it for. The blade the wildlife officials had would not cut through the tire, so they had to think fast while the bull was still tranquilized.
