The moment you’ve been refreshing your browser for arrived yesterday—Montana’s deer and elk permit drawing results are officially live! So go ahead, if you haven’t already, and channel your inner game-day energy, head over to fwp.mt.gov, and see if Lady Luck (aka MT FWP) whispered your name this year.
Mark these deadlines:
- May 1 – Get those apps in for moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, and bison.
- June 1 – Your shot at elk B, deer B, and antelope tags closes.
And yes, all applications must be done online or at your local FWP office—most of which are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. So don’t wait till the last minute–you just never know if you will be sweating through the spinny loading icon of doom…it is not worth it!
In the meantime, congrats if you drew big—may your freezer be full. If not? There’s always B tags, leftover licenses… and a good ol’ fashioned public land grind.
Let the planning, bragging, and gear shopping begin…maybe!
