That wasn’t just any trail-side encounter! While riding his snowmobile between Big Bay and Republic in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Christopher Jones came face-to-face with an unexpected visitor—a wolf. With the latest Michigan DNR survey estimating around 762 wolves calling the U.P. home, sightings like this are rare but not unheard of. It’s quite a reminder that these predators still call the Northwoods home!
