According to a social media post, the Bureau of Land Management Montana/Dakotas took to social media to report vandalism at Strawberry Hill Recreation Area in Miles City, and public land supporters answered the call! Thanks to an outpouring of tips—including a suspicious pile of empty orange spray paint cans—authorities quickly identified the culprits. Feeling the heat from Facebook commenters, the two suspects even attempted a late-night cleanup before turning themselves in. They’ve since been cited and fined, and BLM crews have restored the site. BLM concluded their post saying, “THANK YOU to all who took the time to view the post, offer assistance, and express your concern for YOUR Public Lands. It made all the difference.”
