Hey folks this is Bart down at Capital Sports with the weekly fishing report for the Helena area.

We’ve got a lot of slush on the ice around here right now but the fishing is still good. The trout have been biting well on the south end of Canyon Ferry and there’s still lots of ice down there. A few guys are catching walleyes out there, staying out there till dark.

Hauser’s been good on the causeway arm. They’re getting some trout, a few perch, and a few walleyes out there and some ling out there as well. There’s been a few ling on Canyon Ferry too as a matter of fact.

Holter, I’ve not gotten much for reports this week. I suspect the ice is getting a little marginal up there but I’m sure a lot of guys will be fishing it this weekend.

And then we still have salmon being caught out at the regulating reservoir. The action’s been pretty decent out there for the kokanees last week or so. And if you need more information, stop in and see us at Capital Sports.
