The ice from Rock Creek going north the past couple days has started to get honeycombed in the afternoons and any areas of the ice that are white got pretty soft Wednesday afternoon. With high temps approaching 60 on Thursday and remaining in the 50’s the next few days after, we are going to take a break and see how everything holds up.

The laker fishing slowed up a bit this past week but made up for it with some big fish being caught. We are still seeing large numbers of fish on the electronics in 60-80 FOW, but they had a bit of lockjaw at times throughout the day. We did finally manage to pick up a few northerns on the tip-ups in about 15 FOW with live minnows. If you are heading out after this Thursday, use extreme caution traveling the ice.
