Reservations will open incrementally on the first Monday of each month
MISSOULA — Reservations for Blackfoot River float-in campsites will open Monday, March 3. New this year, reservation dates will be open several months at a time with another month of availability rolled out on the first Monday of each month.
Camping in the Blackfoot River Corridor (Russell Gates to Johnsrud Fishing Access Sites) is only allowed in designated campsites. There are eight float-in overnight sites that are all reservable during the reservation season (May 1-Oct. 31) with a maximum group size of 10 people.
March 3, floaters can reserve campsites for May, and April 7, campsite inventory for June will open, and so on throughout the season. Floaters can refer to this chart to see when their preferred dates are open for reservation:

To reserve a site, call 1-855-922-6768 beginning at 8 a.m. MST on March 3. Campsite availability can be viewed online but reservations must be made over the phone.
