The south half of the lake is mostly ice with some open water in the middle and west side. There is open water at the Campers Point ramp and north. Rattlesnake Point and the south end (large gate) has 3″ NEAR the shoreline, but THINNER farther out. Some of the ice cracked under our feet.
MT FWP recommends a minimum of 3-4′ of ice before going out on the ice. With the warm weather this week (40-50’s), we recommend waiting a few weeks yet and using caution.
