A Montana Snowbowl’s LaVelle double chair had a bit of drama on its third day of operations when a chair fell in the loading area, temporarily halting service. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the lift was inspected and reopened later that afternoon. This isn’t the first Riblet lift mishap at Snowbowl; previous incidents include a broken chair on TV Mountain in 2023, a rope evacuation on Grizzly in 2021 and another LaVelle chair falling in 2020.
