Walk-in access remains open

BILLINGS – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has implemented a partial site closure, effective immediately, at Rosebud Isle Fishing Access Site (FAS) on West Rosebud Creek in Fishtail. Flooding due to ice jams and beaver activity has led to unsuitable conditions for vehicle access at the site. The only access road and multiple campsites have been inundated by the flooding.

Due to these conditions, motorized access is temporarily prohibited. Walk-in access is still allowed at this time, but visitors must ensure they do not obstruct roadways or other access points when parking.

Vehicle access at Rosebud Isle FAS will be reopened as soon as conditions allow. For more information on FWP site closures and restrictions, visit: fwp.mt.gov/news/current-closures-restrictions.
