Today we gather, heads held high,
With humble thanks, we lift a sigh—
For those who served, both brave and strong,
Who fought for rights where we belong.
With freedom’s gift, we rise each dawn,
To cast a line or hunt till gone,
To roam the woods, to trap, to fish,
To live each day, fulfill each wish.
Through fields and streams, we tread with pride,
For those who fell, for those who tried,
Our lands, our peace—our freedoms too,
Are here today because of you.
So, thank you, vets, on rock or sand,
For giving us this cherished land.
We owe to you each trail and stream,
For life and liberty’s bold dream.
