Salmon
Lots of salmon coming in to the Fort Peck marina bay and Duck Creek bay. We’ve done well this past week casting 5/8 ounce Blue Fox fire tiger spinners and 3/4 ounce Green/Chrome KO Wobbler spoons,  Snagging opens October 1st and please keep in mind that the grinders at the cleaning stations don’t handle those large salmon heads very well.

Lake Trout
The lakers are still out in 115-125 and are starting to get in some good-sized schools close to their spawning areas, The best success this week was with a bright green 3/4 ounce jig head and 4 1/2” paddletail worked 6-10 feet off bottom.

Walleye
Starting to catch some eater walleye shallower now in 14-18 feet on shallow running crankbaits and bottom bouncers with crawlers and some bigger fish at 25-35 feet on deeper running crankbaits like Salmo’s or Rapala tail dancers.

Smallmouth Bass
We had some good success pitching plastics and using slip bobbers with minnows around submerged rock piles and off rocky points, Same as with the walleye we caught smaller fish shallow and bigger fish deeper, Some as far as 40 feet.

Good luck to everyone out there this week!
