Canyon Ferry: Walleye, perch and rainbows are being caught on crankbaits between the Silos and Hole in the wall.  Walleye and rainbows are being caught around White Earth on jigs or crankbaits.  Walleye are also being caught from Snaggy Bay to Confederate along the east shore while pulling bottom bouncers in 30 feet of water.  Rainbow fishing is picking up on the north end while trolling cowbells or rapalas between Yacht Basin and Cemetery Island and along the cabins on the east shore.  Shore fishing at the Silos on hook and worm has produced rainbows and perch.  Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Hauser: Some nice rainbows are being caught while fly fishing with leech patterns near the mouth of Trout Creek and Spokane Creek and while trolling cowbells with wedding rings and worms between White Sandy and the Dam. A few walleye and perch are being caught inside the Causeway Arm and from the Bridge while using various jigs tipped with nightcrawlers.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena

Holter: Good numbers of rainbows are being caught around Split Rock and near the Prairie Dog Town while trolling blue or green crankbaits or cowbells with wedding rings and worms. Some nice walleye are being caught while jigging with worms along the Clay Banks downstream from Split Rock and in the small bays inside the Canyon. Most perch are being caught with small jigs and worms near Cottonwood Creek and around the Log Gulch docks. The summer kokanee bite has slowed down and not many fish are being caught.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena

Helena Valley Regulating Reservoir: Some anglers are having success while snagging in the Canal below the Dam. The snagging season for Kokanee Salmon opened on September 1st and will run through October 31st.  Limits are 35 salmon daily with 70 in possession.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
