HELENA – By order of the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission, the archery hunting of all black bears will close in Bear Management Unit (BMU) 520, one-half hour after sunset on Thursday September 12, 2024. The black bear quota in this BMU has been met.
Hunting will resume in BMU 520 with the start of the general black bear season Sunday September 15, 2024.
