Canyon Ferry: Walleye and perch fishing is good from Avalanche to Hellgate, Duck Creek to Confederate and from the Silos up to White Earth. Using bottom bouncers with spinner blades, crankbaits or jigs tipped with a worm in 20 to 40 feet of water is working best. Rainbows are also being caught while using traditional walleye tackle. Rainbows are also being caught on cowbells on the north end from the dam to Cemetary Island. An occasional rainbow or walleye is being caught from shore by Pond 4 on hook and worm. Hauser: A few rainbows are being caught around York Bridge and between White Sandy and the Dam while trolling cowbells or Ford fenders with wedding rings and a worm about 25 feet deep, and below Canyon Ferry Dam with Marabou jigs or crawlers and a marshmallow. The best walleye bite has been around the Eldorado Bar dredge piles, York Bridge, and the Causeway Bridge while using jigs tipped with worms or leeches or trolling yellow or brown crankbaits. Holter: Rainbow fishing has been good on upper Holter while fly fishing with nymphs, at the BLM boat ramp near the Dam with worms and marshmallows and throughout the reservoir while trolling cowbells or Ford fenders with wedding rings and a worm. Good numbers of perch are being found from Cottonwood Creek to the Dam while jigging with worms around weed beds in 15 to 20 feet of water. A few walleye are being caught in the same areas as the perch. A few kokanee salmon continue to be caught Just above the Dam while trolling 60 to 80 feet deep with Dodgers, and Hoochies tipped with corn. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
