Got some cash to spare? According to an article on Field and Stream, you could own the boat at the center of a major fishing scandal. In 2022, Ohio anglers Jacob Runyan and Chase Cominsky were caught stuffing walleye with lead weights at a Lake Erie tournament. They faced multiple felony charges and served ten days in jail. Their boat, used in the cheating scheme, was seized and is now up for sale.  (Check it out here)

The boat, valued at $130,000, currently has a top bid of $80,000 as of June 27. The auction ends on July 23 at 4 p.m. MDT. Prospective buyers can view the boat on July 13, 2024, at the Dempsey Fishing Access Area in Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio.

The funds from the sale will support the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife, which is responsible for preserving the state’s fish and wildlife and nabbing offenders like Runyan and Cominsky.
