Yellowstone National Park’s short spring cycling season, when bikes are allowed before vehicles, is over but use of e-bikes is seeing a steady increase. Electric bikes use a motor to help a pedaler propel their cycle. One business that has sprung to life in Gardiner offering guided tours and e-bike rentals, highlighting the growing popularity of the sport. The beauty of the bikes is that someone who is not a practiced cyclist can cover ground more easily. The tours can also be booked outside of the park, with one popular ride including a hot springs soak. The short spring bicycle season in Yellowstone is a festive occasion on warmer weekends, with some riders dressing up in costumes.
