Many people believe that punishments for poachers are not hefty enough. I, personally, believe that is true–and so does Colorado Parks and Wildlife. As a matter of fact, they want to make sure the weapons used to do the poaching cannot be used again–for anything. So, they make that happen:
Poachers Beware!
As the agency responsible for perpetuating CO’s wildlife resources, @COParksWildlife will not tolerate poaching.
Poaching is not hunting. Poaching is unethical and illegal. It can get you a criminal conviction, a fine and banned from hunting.

Last week, CPW #wildlife technician Bret Mathers destroyed firearms confiscated from poachers caught in the SE Region.
Into the chop saw went $10,000 worth of shotguns, rifles, handguns, bows and arrows.
