From Montana DEQ:

The bright blue water seen here is not from some island oasis, but from a harmful algal bloom (HAB) reported on July 30, 2024 in Baker Lake. HABs can range in color, such as green, blue, red, and gold and present dangers to people and animals. To learn more about harmful algal blooms, visit hab.mt.gov.
