Remember Jacob Runyan and Chase Cominsky?  Well, if you don’t, we will refresh your memory.  They are the two anglers who were caught cheating back in September of 2022 during a Lake Erie Walleye Trail tourney where the duo turned in fish “significantly heavier than a typical walleye”.

Last Monday, Runyan and Cominsky pleaded guilty to the charges against them.

Prosecutors agreed to drop attempted grand theft and possessing criminal tools charges. Runyan and Cominsky will be sentenced on May 11. Prosecutors are set to recommend a sentence of six months’ probation and later ask for an expungement of their convictions if they complete their probation, assistant Cuyahoga County prosecutor James Gallagher said.
