A Montana legislator has proposed a bill that would require a hunter to “report their hunting activity for a game animal before they are eligible to purchase a new game animal license during the following license year.”

The bill also notes: “The department may make rules to implement this section, including but not limited to reporting systems, deadlines, and penalties.”

HB 133 is introduced by Representative Curtis Cochran, and has been referred to the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Committe.

Cochran is a Republican from St. Regis.
