Game wardens seeking info on bighorn sheep shot near Troy

KALISPELL — Montana game wardens are seeking information on a bighorn sheep that was shot and wounded near Ross Creek Cedars Scenic Area south of Troy last weekend.

The bighorn ewe was left wounded and required to be euthanized on July 21 near the parking lot of the scenic area.

Anyone with possible information is encouraged to call Warden Sawyer Johnson at 406-291-6539or visit the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ violation reporting website at tipmont.mt.gov. You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
