Imagine if you stopped at an ATM machine to grab some cash an discovered a fish taped to the screen…that was not an imaginary event in Provo, Utah last year, as it really happened at several ATM locations, among other things.
According to an article on ksltv.com by Pat Reavy an Eliza Pace, Provo law enforcement officials have reported that a teenage individual is now facing legal action and has been directed to appear before the 4th District Juvenile Court. This follows allegations of attaching fish to ATMs from August to November of 2023. The incidents, which involved affixing fish to ATMs, have resulted in multiple counts of misdemeanor property damage being pursued against the 17-year-old suspect. Authorities suspect the teenager may have been involved in numerous other similar incidents, including a fish being taped to a police car, as they uncovered additional evidence during their investigation, including the discovery of an Instagram account under the username “fish_bandit84“.
