Following is the paddlefish harvest estimate after the first full week of paddlefish season. Angler participation has been relatively light thus far. Also included is the Yellowstone River flow projections from NOAA at the Sidney Bridge.
Anglers are reminded to report a harvested paddlefish within 48 hours by one of the following methods: phone hotline (406-444-0356), at the Intake fish cleaning station or a self-reporting station located at the Sidney Bridge, Powder Confluence, and Tongue Confluence. Anglers should also read the 2023 Fishing Regulations to understand the complexity of paddlefish regulations. This includes the reality that Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays are designated catch and release only days which only applies to the Intake Fishing Access Site. All other areas of the river are closed to paddlefishing on catch and release days.
