On Tuesday, September 20th, Charlie Talarico, also known as Chummin Charlie on the Montana Outdoor Radio Show, hunted for the first time this archery season. He typically hunts before the 20th, but he and his wife got married on opening day, so his elk hunting start of the season was postponed. (Congratulations!)
When Charlie made it out, he set up a a ground blind next to a pond that elk frequent. He made two cow calls, and a single bull worked its way across an open field bugling the whole way. It walked 20 yards in front of Charlie’s blind. The rest is history!
Chummin Charlie loves chummin over the water for big fish and on land for big bulls!
Excellent work!
