Tracy Powers and Brandt Hamernick from Missoula fished the annual perch tournament over in Idaho on Cascade Lake. They weighed in 26 pounds of perch. It was their first time fishing Cascade Lake. The Perch Assault tournament draws anglers from all over the Northwest. The duo even took second in mixed couples at the tourney!

” We were fishing 20-31 feet of water.  Our biggest fish, both 2.28lbs!  Brandt, and I weighed our biggest fish, and both weighed the same weight. How does that happen?!   Catch of a lifetime!”, texted Powers.

The Missoula couple finished outside of the top ten teams. Powers thinks the winning team weighed in around 37 pounds.
