Brian Lindquist is one of our awesome listeners, and a recent recording of The Montana Outdoor Radio Show got him thinking. It was one where the crew was referring to the power of getting kids into fishing, as sportsman often do. This sparked a memory in Brian from a recent fishing trip that he said was one of the “proudest and best moments” of his life. Brian and his five year-old son, Reid, went out ice fishing and had an awesome time. Actually, that was an understatement. That day was Reid’s first big perch day on the ice, and you can definitely tell he was excited by the footage below!
Reid was so excited that he yelled out “Best day ever!” about 100 times throughout the day. The youngster was even the one that caught most of their fish for the day, as Brian tried to keep up with unhooking the fish.
“I can’t think of many better ways to bond with my kids, or for them to learn the power of the great outdoors,” exclaimed Brian.
What a great opportunity for you both, and what an awesome ice fishing buddy Brian has! Thank you for sharing, and we look forward to more pictures, videos and stories!
