Time to get your fishing license and bowfishing gear together!

The Montana Bowhunters Association is hosting the Carp Safari at Hellgate Bay again this year.  This is tailored as a family event and it’s a great way to introduce kids to bowhunting.  There are lots of prizes and plaques to be won and the MBA provides an evening meal with your registration fee!

We’ve reserved the Hellgate Group Use Area, so 25 campsites are available.  Allowances have been made for either a camper and a tent per campsite or two tents per campsite.  The BuRec requires tent campers to set up on the grassy areas immediately behind the designated camper pull-outs.  Camping fees are $12/night.  Those wishing to stretch out even more can reserve one of the sites in the other camping loops at Hellgate by  registering online at www.recreation.gov.  Registrations can be made now for that weekend.
