Jim Johnson and Denny Peterson went fishing for whitefish on Flathead Lake Saturday and they got into the whitefish, even though it took a while. The bite was not there in the morning. So they trolled for lake trout and were unsuccessful fishing until about 1pm.

They returned to the River delta and anchors at 43feet. In two hours they had 30 whitefish in the boat from1-4 pounds and the duo had the most success with a spoon called the rattlesnake.
They also caught some fish on the rattle-d-castor that had sparkles tipped with maggots.
