Recent heavy rainfall has the water elevation rising rapidly on Fort Peck Reservoir.

“We came up about two feet since last week.  It is too early to tell what we will be for next summer.  The lake is still slowly rising from the rain this weekend.  We should get a new forecast next Wednesday that should show what we will have through the fall and winter” said John Daggett from the US Army Corp of Engineers. The current inflow to Fort Peck is 33,000 cubic feet per second, as of today.   The outflow is only 5800 cubic feet per second. Todays water elevation is 2231.92.
