You might remember Mike Stephens, of Sula, posting some pictures of the beginning of the mule deer rut in the Bitterroot (click here for the awesome series of pictures), and now you can also remember him by this incredibly nice 8×7 whitetail buck taken from the East Fork!
He used his Marlin lever action 44 mag and got this beauty at 40 yards.
“I just could not help it, and had to shoot this one when he walked out,” and we definitely understand that, Mike! Nice work, and congratulations on a beautiful buck and a full freezer!
