Just recently, according to amazingbeautifulworld.com, a whale washed up on the shore of a town in Taiwan and didn’t survive. While it was being transported to a research facility to be used for educational purposes, the gigantic mammal exploded, leaving whale blubber an internal organ pieces everywhere. You can see a shot of the aftermath pictured on the left.
The United States has also experienced an exploding whale situation back in the 70’s, only the whale that washed up on the Oregon coastal town of Florence was blown up intentionally by the Oregon State Highway Division. Unfortunately, the theories and predictions of the outcome that the state had didn’t exactly work out as planned. If we ever have issues with whales washing up on the shores of Montana, then I don’t think worrying about them exploding would be as big of a concern as why the ocean is so far inland!
