The day began with a typical fishing trip for Rob Nelson and Alison Stewart, of Missoula, MT. After a couple of years of dating, they both knew what to expect from each other. Relaxing on the boat, watching the scenery, while Rob trolled for fish, Alison soaked up the sun and enjoyed the beautiful Montana afternoon.
The calm and quiet was interrupted by Rob reeling in his line–he got a bite. Rob asked Alison to check the line to see what he got. She looked the end of the line over, and immediately noticed a diamond ring hooked to the lure. Shocked, and processing what was happening, Alison began to cry. Rob got down on one knee, right there on the boat in the middle of Bowman Lake, and asked Alison to marry him. She said yes.
Rob’s success that day included more than what he caught with his fishing pole. What is the most romantic thing you have done while fishing or hunting?
