There is so much controversy with long range shooting and hunting, and we found a video from a few years ago of a Montana elk hunt with a bull that was shot from 840 yards away. Nice bull!
Stuck N The Rut makes a trip into Montana in pursuit of Elk. Travis, Trevor, and Tom Schneider all have general elk tags in their pocket. Travis and Trevor decided not to take this young bull, but Tom was really anxious and trigger happy and decided he wanted to set a personal record on a long range shot. 840 yards (0.5 miles) we had a 9ft bullet drop and a 34inch wind drift; the bullet made its way to the elk double lung shot. The rifle that was used on this hunt was the LR1000 made by Gunwerks. We would love to hear your comments below.
