We’re back from chasing Chinook (King) salmon at Ft. Peck dam area. As of the 1st of October, snagging these beasts is legal and serious fun. We try to go each year and, again, made it during the later part of the opening week.
The fish were in excellent shape and some of the biggest fish we’ve ever caught. Most ranged from 14 to 19 pounds, but a 20+ showing up every once in awhile. Here are a few fish and this is a 120 quart igloo filled with just 10 fish.
