How far would you go to save a baby animal in the wild? Would you risk your life? This boy did; he saw a fawn get separated from its family while they were crossing a swift river in Bangledesh, and took action. He scooped up the fawn in one hand to hold it above the water, and forged the river, while at times his own head was under water.
Wildlife photographer Hasibul Wahab captured the heroic moments in photos from Noakhali, Bangladesh, where torrential rain caused fast-rising floods, causing the deer to be separated from its family, according to Caters News Agency and theU.K. MailOnline.
Only about seven people witnessed the act of bravery and kindness, according to Wahab.
Wahab told MailOnline that locals lose a lot of deer during the rainy season and are forced to do all they can to protect them, such as going to extreme measures like a young teenaged boy named Belal did.
When he finally made it to the other side the locals cheered as the deer was reunited with its family.
